Convicted sex offender Gordon Stuckless is in police custody again after he was arrested for the third time in two months, this time by police in York Region. He’s now facing more than 30 charges in York and Toronto.
The latest charges against Stuckless were announced Wednesday by York authorities who charged him with five counts of sexual assault, four counts of gross indecency and two counts of indecent assault on a male related to alleged incidents involving two boys, then ages 11 and 13.
The alleged assaults happened between 1982 and 1985 while Stuckless worked as an assistant teacher at a Richmond Hill school, York police said. He was arrested on Tuesday.
Stuckless was convicted in 1997 for sexually assaulting 24 boys while he was an usher at Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens between 1969 and 1988.
He was arrested by Toronto police last month after two men came forward with allegations of sexual abuse dating back to the 1970s. The men were 11 and 13 at the time. Police laid eight charges in relation to those alleged incidents, including indecent assault on a male.
On Friday, Toronto police announced he’d been arrested again and faced additional charges after five more men came forward with similar allegations dating back to the 1960s and 70s. Toronto cops laid an additional 15 charges for those alleged assaults, including, buggery and gross indecency.
After his arrest by Toronto police last Friday, Stuckless was released from custody and is due in court at Old City Hall on May 3. York police chose to keep him behind bars.
Stuckless will appear in a Newmarket court on Wednesday afternoon.
